Use the app freely; Pro is a one-time purchase for one Mac per key. It's provided as-is — an indie tool, not a life-support system. Don't redistribute the binary or resell it. During the beta the app isn't notarized by Apple, so you install it at your own discretion. Be nice.
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Lovely Screenshots (see below). By downloading, installing, or using the app, or by purchasing a Pro license, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app — no hard feelings.
Who you're dealing with
Lovely Screenshots is developed and operated by [CONTACT_NAME], acting as an unregistered sole activity (działalność nierejestrowana) in Poland ("we", "us"). Pro purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as the merchant of record — see Purchases.
License grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Lovely Screenshots on Macs you own or control:
- Free tier — the app's free features may be used at no charge, on as many of your own Macs as you like.
- Lovely Pro — a one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro features. Each license key activates one device at a time. You can deactivate a key on one Mac (in Settings → License) to move it to another.
The license covers normal personal and professional use — taking, annotating, and sharing screenshots and recordings as part of your work is exactly what it's for.
What you may not do
- No redistribution. Don't re-host, bundle, sell, rent, or otherwise redistribute the app binary. Send people to lovelyscreenshots.com instead — downloads are free.
- Don't share, resell, or publish license keys, or circumvent the license check or feature gating.
- Don't reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app, except where law expressly permits it despite this clause.
- Don't use the app to break the law — including capturing content you have no right to capture. What you screenshot, record, and where you send it is your responsibility.
Purchases, Pro, and refunds
Pro purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record: they charge your payment method, handle VAT/sales tax, and issue the invoice, so your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms. We never see your payment details.
Refunds: if Pro isn't for you, email us within [REFUND_POLICY: e.g. 14 days of purchase — owner to confirm the window configured in Lemon Squeezy] and we'll refund you, no interrogation. Statutory consumer rights in your country remain unaffected.
Pro is a one-time license for the current app, not a subscription. It does not promise specific future features; we say this so a roadmap change can never turn into a broken promise.
Beta software — not notarized
During the beta, the app is not notarized by Apple. macOS will warn you when you first open it, and you'll need to explicitly allow it in System Settings. You install and run beta builds at your own discretion. If that makes you uncomfortable, wait for a notarized release — we'll be here.
Beta builds may contain bugs, and features may change or be removed between versions. Keep backups of anything important (the app saves your captures as ordinary files precisely so nothing is locked in).
No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet your requirements.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim (which, for the free tier, is zero). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your content stays yours
We claim no rights whatsoever over your screenshots, recordings, or anything you create with the app. It all lives on your Mac; see the Privacy Policy for the details of what (little) ever touches the network.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time — deleting it ends the license. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these terms (for example, redistributing the binary or sharing license keys) and, where the breach is fixable, you don't fix it after we've told you. Sections that by their nature should survive (no warranty, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the "last updated" date at the top will change accordingly. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. We won't retroactively take away something you paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION: Poland — owner to confirm], excluding its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you additionally keep any protections granted by the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and disputes may be brought in the courts of that country.
